Wacky Web Tale (weekend Post)

On the Set

Chris Brown: Hi! This is “Movies Today,” and I'm Chris Brown. Today we are on the set in California with director Stacey Dash, who is filming a new movie. Hi, Stacey Dash. What is your new movie about?

Stacey Dash: Hi, Chris Brown. The movie is based on the best-selling book by Damali Lewis. The book tells the story of how a group of people courageously protected their city from strong Monkeys.

Chris Brown: Wow! This sounds cute! Has it been hard to work with the Monkeys?

Stacey Dash: Not at all. It's actually been quite easy.

Chris Brown: Well, that's good news. How have you and your cast enjoyed working in California?

Stacey Dash: It's been fantastic. We are using many people from California as extras. They have been teaching the rest of the cast how to run.

Chris Brown: Will we see some of your famous special effects in this new movie?

Stacey Dash: Yes! We are very excited about the flying Monkeys in this movie.

Chris Brown: I can't wait to see that! Good luck with the Filming.

Stacey Dash: Thanks, Chris Brown.

My Favrite Poem (weekend Post)

How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

BLOODY MARY BLOODY MARY COME AND GET ME..........(weekend post)

So there are myths and tells that have been passed on of years an years and till this day urban myths are terrorizing children . One of these ever lasting myth is the myth of Bloody Mary....

The story of any myth is never the same, some say she was a queen some even said she could be that old lady on the corner of your street, some even called her an old hag who ate children. Although none of it is the same it is still scary.

So here is a story of Bloody Mary that I have found:

Bloody Mary is the children game of summoning an evil and vengeful witch of the same name. This is done by standing in a bathroom, with one candle lit and calling the name "Bloody Mary" into the mirror three times in a row.
It is only the bravest of children who would attempt to participate in this game.

It is believed that by taking part in this game, and summoning the witch, it would have one of the following terrible consequences:

eyes being ripped out by the witch.

found with claw marks all over body.

disappear mysteriously from the bathroom and end up in the mirror with the witch for eternity.

view the horrifying image of the witch appear in the mirror.

driven insane or dropping dead on the spot at the appearance of the witch in the mirror.

suffer terrible claw marks all over face.

Variations of the game are:

Calling out "I stole your baby Bloody Mary" into the mirror.

Calling out "I killed your baby Mary Worth" into the mirror.

Calling out "I believe in Mary Worth" into the mirror.

Turning around between one to one hundred times in front of the mirror.

Blowing the candle out and calling out to summon the witch in the dark.

There are also variations on the name Bloody Mary:

Mary Worth

Mary Whales

Hell Mary (for the appearance of Satan)

Bloody Mary Worth

Mary Worthington

These names are not so commonly used. The main name used is Bloody Mary.

THE HISTORY OF THE GAME

The history of the children's game Bloody Mary is a difficult one to extract from the large amount of mixed up legends and history that over the years has become the main basis for the story surrounding the game.

The most common story told is that Mary Worth was a witch that lived over 100 years ago who dabbled in the black arts. She was found out and executed. However this does not tie in with a child or baby which is often mentioned in the ritual of summoning her.

The other story accompanying the ritual is a local woman was involved in a fatal car accident nearby, her face horribly mutilated. She reappears in the mirror when summoned with that same horrific face.

It is largely believed that the origins of the names "Mary Worth" and "Bloody Mary" came from a slight mix up of characters from history. There is a lot of speculation as to the names being taken from Mary I, Queen of England who reigned during the Tudor period. Mary Tudor was also commonly known as "Bloody Mary".

Her nickname of "Bloody Mary" became attached to her when she violently executed and burnt Mary Tudorpeople at the stake for heresy throughout her reign of a little over 5 years.

She also was unable to bear children and suffered two phantom pregnancies, this is where it is speculated that the Bloody Mary game involving chanting "I stole your baby" or "I killed your baby" became tangled up with the now known Bloody Mary game.

There is another suggestion that the name "Mary Worth" was derived from a victim of the Salem Witch trials. There was no person involved in these trials by the name of Mary Worth.

Other surrounding additions to the "Bloody Mary" game are derived from the legend of Elizabeth Bathory, who it was rumored bathed in blood and took part in other atrocities to save her youthful beauty, of course her name was not Mary but somehow the stories of this cruel woman have been inserted into the Bloody Mary game.

However this game came about and whenever this game was first invented the one thing we do know for sure is that the ritual of spinning and chanting has evovled from quite a long time ago, when young girls participated regularly in rituals such as this to find who they would marry and when they would marry. There is also the addition of mirrors which were known as being portals to another world, especially during victorian times. Add in a little more of the olde time spiritual beliefs including covering mirrors while in the presence of a dead person or at a funeral, some spooky ghost stories told at bedtime, and it seems to have all somehow combined over the years to form the now famous game of Bloody Mary.

What Will Happen If You Play Bloody Mary?

After all the explanations and tales of the supernatural I expect if you've read this far you are dying to try out the game.

What you need is one candle, a strong heart and a big bathroom with lots of mirrors.

LIGHTS OUT in the bathroom,

Place your candle in the bathroom and light it, stand and look into the mirror, chant slowly "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary". And see what happens!!!

Its up to you to believe what you may or may not experience. If nothing happens try spinning around three times and then look into the mirror - see anything yet?

Its believed that most people see something after spinning around furiously which is usually the result of over indulgence of sugary, high-energy foods, and lots of friends standing outside a darkened bathroom. As for those reports and stories you hear from all your friends.....those stories that involved dark figures, violent slashes, cuts and bruises, well before you believe anything, ask for the evidence and then decide for yourself.

Until then try the game if you dare....but push one of your friends into the bathroom first!!

Tattoo Pop Culture : weekend Post

Tattoo Statistics have been compiled since 1999 and has the best available data on the popularity of tattooing and basic information about the tattoo culture.

Tattoos have gained an increasing amount of prominence in the past decade. Life magazine estimated in 1936 that 10 million Americans, or approximately 6% of the population had at least one tattoo. A Harris Poll, done in 2003, nearly triples those numbers and estimates that 16% of Americans now have one or more tattoos. For a complete breakdown of the Harris Poll numbers, see below.

-Thirty-six percent of those ages 18 to 25, and 40 percent of those ages 26 to 40, have at least one tattoo, according to a fall 2006 survey by the Pew Research Center.

-The National Geographic News stated in April 2000 that 15% of Americans were tattooed (or approximately 40 million people!)

-Esquire Magazine estimated in March 2002 that 1 in 8 Americans was tattooed.

-According to the American Society of Dermatological Surgery, they stated in 2005, that of all the people they treat with laser and light therapy, only only 6% are getting a tattoo removed.

-Harris Poll, 2003, estimates that fully 36% of those aged 25-29 have one or more tattoos.

-A 2006 a study done by the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found that 24% of Americans between 18 and 50 are tattooed; that’s almost one in four. And the survey showed that about 36% of Americans age 18 to 29 have at least one tattoo!

Make no mistake about it, the tattoo industry is hot property. There are an estimated 20,000+ parlors operating in the United States, according to a U.S. News & World Report article, which said, on the average, an establishment is being added in the country every day. The article ranked tattooing as the sixth fastest growing retail venture of the 1990s, right behind Internet, paging services, bagels, computer and cellular phone service

Profiling entails coming up with basic characteristics of the unsub and the victims (referred to as the victimology), using evidence from the case and matching that information to historic precedents and psychological analyses as a means to solve the case. Because of the nature of the work conducted by the BAU - the work being time consuming and psychologically demanding - its members are fiercely loyal to the Unit and to its other members. Also because of the work's overall demanding nature, not many members of the BAU have been able to maintain a happy or stable family life. Also At the End the ALWAYS catch the bad guy.

Teens Fight Depression: Weekend Post

Teens in America all fight Most of us feel sad or unhappy at various times in our life, but teenage depression that extends for a longer lengths of time (usually more than 2 weeks) and that interferes with our daily life is considered to be major depression. This type of teen depression is one that isn't to be taken lightly and should be treated as early as possible to prevent further problems.

Studies and statistics show that approximately 1 in 8 adolescents may be suffering from depression, a very scary statistic. Even more frightening is that only about 30% of these children who are suffering emotional/mental turmoil are receiving any treatment for it.(1)

Many teens have mood swings or are quick to express anger, but how do you distinguish between normal teenage angst and a more serious problem?

Warning Signs :
Although at times teens will normally go through some of these following signs, when they occur alone for extended periods of time and/or occur in conjunction with each other it's important to look at what may be causing them.

  • Sadness or hopelessness
  • Low self-esteem
  • Sluggishness (less active)
  • Substance abuse
  • Spending more time alone (this includes time alone from you as parents and time away from their regular friends)
  • Decrease in desire to do things they used to like to do (sports, activities, hobbies)
  • Physical ailments (headaches, appetite problems, sleeping problems)
  • Problems in school (falling grades, getting into trouble, not paying attention in class)
  • Talking about death or suicide (never to be taken lightly)
  • Not caring about appearance
  • Running away from home

Tyenal recall : weekend post

Just days before the New Year, McNeil announced a voluntary recall for all lots of Tylenol Arthritis Pain Caplet 100 Count with EZ-Open cap. The affected products have a moldy, musty smell, because of the presence of a chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA). Some reported symptoms of nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. The chemical is associated with the treatment of wooden pallets used to transport and store product packaging materials. Back in September 2009, McNeil announced a major recall for infant and children's Tylenol. The product affected in the Tylenol Recall 2010 were sold in the Americas, the United Arab Emirates, and Fiji.

parents....

Parents Never Ever Ever listen

talking with parents are like the tale of the boy cried wolf...

so the picture above shows that this is the famous line that every teen uses because in reality not everything we get in trouble for is our fault.

how i see it is that in this cruel world kids get blamed for everything.

POINTING FINGERS IS NEVER FUN!!!!!!!!!!
